First of all, I feel that once you get to be, say, 60 years old... you should have to be evaluated at teh DMV every year. Half these people should not be behind the wheel. My grandparents are in their late 70s and it is not safe for them to be driving. They seriously got in an accident last summer - they plowed right through a stop sign and ran into a pickup truck hauling a chopper box and literally knocked the pickup onto its side. It's a miracle nobody was seriously hurt.
Then... these old people all have the huge Cadillacs and Lincolns... you know, the half ton beasts that could mow over my little Taurus. Old people should be required to drive hatchbacks so that when they go down the wrong side of a freeway and hit another car head on (recently happened here), they are the ones who get hurt. This particular accident killed the old man and the three high school girls in the car he ran into. Jackass.
Seriously, these big cars old people drive have so much torque... they can go from 0 to 60 in about 5 seconds, yet their poor engines hardly ever get to see anything above 20.
